The title was designed with a look of edginess, afterall, this is a story of possession.
The unexpected challenge for us in this project was to also create custom lettering for the authors' names, giving P.C. Cast a larger size, while keeping the author, Gena Showalter, a much longer name, visually balanced with P.C. Cast.
Think about it, they look alike, but one name is much larger, yet they feel like a similar weight - it's type design magic.
